Hanging Out

It's Thursday and that means it's time for a new week of Cut File sets in The Cut Shoppe!  Today, I worked with the Heart Burst 8.5x11 background cut file.  Instead of using the actual cut file on the layout this week, I thought it would be fun to use it as a stitching template and here's what I came up with!

I cut the Heart Burst cut file and placed it on the background paper, where I wanted the design.  Then I just used a pencil to trace around the shape.  After I pierced holes around the burst shape, I stitched with multiple colors of embroidery floss.  I decided to add my title and the embellishments around the cut file, because I didn't really like any of the other options for placing my title.  You can check out the full process for this layout, in this week's new Process Video!

And while you're visiting the Shop, make sure you check out all of the new sets that are available this week!
